Malaysia Women’s National Team fell 0–3 to Myanmar Women’s National Team in the SEA Games 2025 Group Stage, Group B at TNSU Chonburi Campus Stadium, Chonburi.
Myanmar pressed aggressively from the opening whistle, spearheaded by star forward May Htet, who was a constant menace down the flanks.
Myanmar finally broke the deadlock in the 27th minute when San Thaw capitalised on Malaysia’s defensive lapse, giving Myanmar a deserved 1–0 lead.
Stung by the goal, the Malayan Tigress created chances of their own through Ainsyah and Adrienna, but both failed to hit the target.
Myanmar doubled their lead in the 35th minute as May Htet unleashed a fierce strike that left Azurin with no chance.
The second half saw Myanmar increase their tempo, launching relentless attacks through May Htet, forcing Malaysia into deep defensive positions.
Malaysia’s hopes suffered a blow when striker Adrienna received a second yellow card, reducing the Tigress to 10 players with 30 minutes left.

From there, Myanmar controlled the match completely, piling pressure on the Malaysian defence and forcing Azurin into multiple saves.
Malaysia mounted a late surge in the final 10 minutes but Myo Mya’s sharp reflexes kept the clean sheet intact.
