Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors manager Chung Jung-yong was a relieved and happy man after watching his side dismantle Johor Darul Ta'zim 2-0 at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Jeonju.

Speaking after the final whistle, Cho beamed as he reviewed a disciplined performance from his squad. "It was a near-perfect match from our players. They gave their absolute best," Cho said. "Special credit goes to our backline and goalkeeper Song Bum-keun for working tirelessly under pressure. My only slight regret is that our attackers should have scored a few more goals given the chances we created, but I am just glad we could bring joy to our fans."

Asked about the tactical blueprint behind the 2-0 scoreline, Cho revealed that exploiting space behind JDT's aggressive line was always the objective. "We anticipated that our opponents would press high and apply heavy pressure," he explained. "We knew space would open up behind their frontline, so targeting those spaces on the counter-attack was our core game plan. Defensively, because their players possess great individual skill, we had to remain compact in our pressing, win the ball, and transition immediately. Overall, the players executed it brilliantly."

The only blemish on an otherwise successful night for Jeonbuk was an injury to defender Yeon Je-un, who had to be substituted during the match. Addressing his condition, Cho admitted caution is required. "We will have to monitor him closely. It doesn't look great right now, so we are hoping for positive news after medical examinations."

The victory serves as a massive boost for Jeonbuk as they navigate the demanding congestion of domestic and continental fixtures, while JDT are left to regroup after seeing their early-season continental momentum checked in South Korea.
