Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors are ready to go all out to dismantle Johor Darul Ta'zim's unbeaten run when the two sides clash in Matchday 4 of the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) 2026/27 League Stage.

Refusing to be intimidated by the defending Malaysian Super League champions, Jeonbuk are determined to capitalize on their home turf at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium to secure a much-needed victory.

"This ACL match is crucial amidst our tight league schedule," Jeonbuk head coach Chung Jung-yong emphasized during the pre-match press conference, as quoted by biz.chosun. "Tomorrow we play at home. We must win and collect points. We will prepare thoroughly with our full strength and deliver a good result."

The 57-year-old tactician made it clear that he will not be rotating his squad for this vital continental fixture. "Previously, depending on the match situation, we fielded our best lineup. This time it's at home. We absolutely must secure points. We must win tomorrow."

Chung openly acknowledged the massive threat posed by the undefeated Southern Tigers, noting their tactical dominance. "The opponents are a strong team that relies on high pressing. Based on the data, they haven't lost yet and control about 60% of possession. They are tough to penetrate."

To counter JDT's aggressive brand of football, Chung revealed a pragmatic game plan. "Our team will strengthen our defensive organization at home to neutralize their strengths. When opportunities arise, we will create space and launch our attacks. That’s how we will get the result."

JDT head into Tuesday's clash riding a wave of formidable momentum. The Malaysian representatives kicked off their ACLE campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Buriram United, followed by a stunning 2-0 away victory in South Korea against Pohang Steelers, courtesy of a Marcos Guilherme brace. Their recent 3-0 demolition of Port FC at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium has propelled them to fourth place in the standings with 7 points, just two points adrift of leaders Kashima Antlers.

In stark contrast, Jeonbuk have struggled for consistency. Despite opening their campaign with a 2-1 win over Kashiwa Reysol, they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Vissel Kobe and were held to a 2-2 draw by Beijing Guoan. With only 4 points, Jeonbuk currently languish in 10th place out of 16 teams, sitting outside the crucial top-eight qualification zone.
