Johor Darul Ta'zim face a crucial test of their continental credentials as they prepare to lock horns with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27 League Stage(East Zone).

At the pre-match press conference, JDT head coach Xisco Muñoz stressed that securing a positive result in South Korea will require absolute focus and flawless tactical execution against a technically gifted opponent.

"It’s sure we need to give a complete game tomorrow. If we give our best, maybe we can take a positive result," Muñoz stated, highlighting the importance of maintaining JDT's current momentum in Asia.

The Spanish tactician pointed out Jeonbuk’s distinct possession-based style, noting their solid defensive structure, dangerous speed in the lateral channels, and lethal long-range shooting. He warned his players to stay on high alert during the opening exchanges and set pieces.

Muñoz also singled out Jeonbuk’s central playmaker as the ultimate threat. "They have different levels, but my favorite player of theirs is the number 10(Lee Seung-Woo). He has good mobility and capacity. Coupled with their speedy wingers and a strong target man, they are very dangerous in the final third."

To counter the South Korean threat, Muñoz urged the Southern Tigers to impose their own personality on the pitch. Controlling the tempo, showing bravery on the ball, and providing an "extra plus" in the attacking third will be vital.

He remains highly confident in JDT’s attacking arsenal, praising the seamless integration of top-tier domestic talents with seasoned international stars to get the job done.

"We have the best player in the country, Arif Aiman, alongside top-quality Brazilians, Spaniards, and Argentinians," Muñoz concluded. "This connection is important, and when we have a big goal, we need to take the best out of our team."
