Malaysia U23 will undergo daily training during the central training camp this time at Padang Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya with the 25 players called up to report on Tuesday. and have a closed friendly match at the central training camp this time.
From the list of players above, Elavarasan has called a total of 19 new players to undergo a central training camp for six days, in a plan to test them as one of the series of preparations for the national junior team that will play in the SEA Games 2023 Cambodia from April 29, 2023 until May 15 2023 in Cambodia.
The approach was taken considering that Cambodia’s 2023 SEA Games football competition rules have used an age format in which only under-22s are allowed to play, including two quotas of over-age players in this year’s SEA Games tournament.
The opportunity was taken by giving other players a chance and a path to be tested by Elavarasan where the pillars of the previous edition of the SEA Games will be called up at the central training camp next month.
