NSDF does not pay ‘prize money’ to Thailand U22 due to brawl in Final Men’s Football SEA Games 2023

Thailand U22 national team squad for SEA Games 2023 at Cambodia, is just one type of sport that has not received the bonus from the National Sports Development Fund of Thailand (NSDF) because it is still pending an investigation into the brawl in the final game with Indonesia U22 national team in 16 May.

The award according to the criteria of the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF), the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), with the condition that the gold medal will receive 300,000 baht(RM39,887), a silver medal of 150,000 baht(RM19,943), and a bronze medal of 75,000 baht(RM9,971), while the sports trainer Individuals or teams of up to 6 people will receive 20%. In this regard, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), clarified that the prize money bonus for the men’s football team has been slowed down. Due to the problem of controversy in the finals with Indonesia, which is a matter that tarnishes the reputation and image of the Thai sports industry, SAT asked the Football Association of Thailand to make a letter clarifying the aforementioned events but hasn’t received a reply yet.

In addition, Dr.Kongsak also revealed that the SAT board had asked SAT to verify the facts. Who did wrong Some inappropriate acts, such as those who commit an offense and are directly involved in a brawl and are punished, may not receive a reward. This issue requires a clear clarification of who is who and how to blame each person. will consider the facts and look at the overall picture whether it breaks any rules which are not stuck in terms of prize money Or the disbursement system, SAT will expedite inquiries to the Football Association in order to make a clarification back as soon as possible
