In the action involved, KL City FC enjoyed more possession of the ball but Perak FC managed to absorb the pressure well and were able to deal with the threat of the hosts who launched several crosses into the penalty box.
Failing to test the Perak FC goal with any interesting attempts during the first 20 minutes, Tchetche Kipre tried to deflect from a corner that was easily caught by T Shaheeswaran in the 22nd minute.
KL City FC’s opening goal came at the end of the first half when Avanzini took advantage of the chaos in front of the Perak FC goal after Shaheeswaran managed to deflect Paulo Josue’s free kick.
Continuing the second half, KL City FC continued to dominate the game but the dominance could not translate into a second goal.
Perak FC squandered an opportunity to get at least an equalizing goal after the hosts had to play with 10 players following T Saravanan’s second yellow card in the 64th minute.
Match ended at KL City win by a score of 1-0 and wins 2 matches consecutive in the league and climb up to 8th rank on the table.
