Indonesia national football team has unveiled a 27-player squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 3, set to take place from 14 to 19 November 2024.
Indonesia will face Asian giants Japan and Saudi Arabia at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, aiming to capitalize on home advantage for vital points.
Notably absent from the squad are full-back Asnawi Mangkualam and goalkeeper Ernando Ari, both sidelined due to injuries. To cover these gaps, Shin has brought in M. Riyandi from Persis Solo and Yakob Sayuri from Malut United.
Indonesia will also benefit from the presence of its foreign-based players, including Jay Idzes (Venezia), Mees Hilgers (FC Twente), Ragnar Oratmangoen (FCV Dender), and Marselino Ferdinan (Oxford United), all set to strengthen Garuda’s lineup.
