As temperatures soar in Thailand, Malaysian rider Hafizh is fully focused on overcoming the heat and competition at Round 1 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025, happening from April 25th to 27th at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.
Riding for JDT Racing Team, Hafizh emphasized the importance of being thoroughly prepared, as the Thai heat is expected to push both rider and machine to the limit.
“We’re expecting tough conditions here in Thailand,” Hafizh shared. “The heat is intense, and we know it won’t be an easy ride. That’s why preparation is everything. Our team is now very clear on how to manage every detail—from setup to logistics. Everything needs to be in the right shape and in the right place.”
Hafizh also pointed out the strong coordination within the team, expressing confidence in the synergy between rider, bike, and crew. The team has several tire compounds to test, which could play a crucial role in their race strategy.
“We’ve got a few compounds to try, and it’ll be interesting to see their potential this year. The setup is coming together well, and I can feel the connection between myself, the bike, and the whole team,” he said.
Reflecting on last season, Hafizh mentioned that logistical issues had disrupted early testing efforts. However, this year the team is better positioned, with three critical sessions scheduled for tomorrow to finalize their setup ahead of the race weekend.
“Last year, our bike didn’t arrive in time for proper testing. But this season, everything is more organized. Tomorrow’s three sessions will be really valuable for us to evaluate where we are. We’re ready to fight for the weekend.”
With momentum building and temperatures rising, all eyes will be on Hafizh and JDT Racing Team as they aim to deliver a strong performance in Buriram.
