R. Gopalkrishnan, head coach of Timor-Leste national team revealed not serious about this match and wants players to enjoy and will just have to make do with the absence of Paulo Gali, striker of the team.
Paulo Gali did not attend this squad due to a salary debt problem with the Timor Leste Football Federation(FFTL).
“Gali is not here but we have to move on. We are rebuilding, and while we may not be in the best of condition, we have to get on with the job,” the Malaysian coach said in the press conference.
“I just want the players to go out there and enjoy the game (against Brunei).”
A part of Joao Mouzinho, a forward from Angkor Tiger said that his team is ready to take on Brunei Darussalam in their two-match series.
“We are ready for these two games!” Mouzinho said.
“We have been training with the U20 team for the past three weeks and even though we have a young squad, we feel confident.”
“We will be all out against Brunei.”
