The highly anticipated 2024/25 Anugerah Bolasepak Kebangsaan (ABK 2024/25) took center stage today, celebrating the outstanding achievements of players, coaches, officials, and fans throughout the Malaysian football season.
Organized to honor excellence across the Malaysian League (Liga M), this year’s ceremony featured 17 award categories, including the return of the much-loved Best Supporters Award, highlighting the integral role of fanbases in elevating the sport.
A total of 498 players were initially shortlisted based on their performances with their respective clubs during the 2024/25 season. These names were then filtered by the ABK24-25 Screening Committee, narrowing the list to 10 top nominees per category, chosen according to their registered playing positions.
Eight of the award categories were voted on by a panel comprising 13 Super League head coaches and captains, 13 MFL Cup head coaches and captains, and 26 media representatives. Meanwhile, the Best Team Award was decided by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) Technical Committee, while the Fair Play Award was determined by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The Fan XI (Supporters’ Best XI) and Best Goal of the 2024/25 Season were selected through fan voting.
Once again, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) winger Arif Aiman Hanapi emerged as the night’s biggest winner, clinching the coveted Most Valuable Player (MVP) title for an incredible fourth consecutive time. The 22-year-old sensation also took home Best Midfielder and Best Goal of the 2024/25 Malaysian League.
