Faisal Halim, midfielder of Malaysia national team and Selangor FC whether he is allowed to leave the hospital or otherwise will only be determined within 48 to 72 hours from now.
Yesterday, Faisal underwent his fourth surgery involving the ‘split skin grafting’ (SSG) process and his condition will continue to be monitored to determine his true status.
Dr. Muhammad Hazwan Khair, Selangor FC’s Head of Sports Medicine said, this fourth surgery is expected to be the last procedure, but all decisions will be determined by the specialist treating Faisal.
“Faisal underwent the fourth surgery involving the SSG procedure as planned by the surgeon. So for any development, I think we have to wait 48 to 72 hours.” Dr. Hazwan said.
“God willing this is the last operation, but we have to remember that this is a gradual process and we have to evaluate Faisal from time to time. I hope there are no major procedures for him after this.”
“All these processes are normal steps to treat burn injuries and we expect it to develop as planned.”
“(Leaving the hospital) depends on the surgeon because we don’t just look at the status and response to the surgery but we look at Faisal’s overall health,”
At the same time, Hazwan will continue to be given appropriate assistance to ensure that Faisal can return to the field.
