E.Elavarasan, head coach of Malaysia U22 national team has confident players have the same potential as other teams and have the confidence to compete in the Men’s Football in SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia.
Malaysia U22 national team has drawn in Group B with Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Laos.
“An interesting and challenging draw at the same time after we were drawn together with the defending champions, Vietnam, and the favorites of the competition like Thailand.” Elavarasan said after knowing results of the draw.
“Despite the fact that the national team must be realistic with the results of the vote, I remain optimistic that the Malaysia U22 squad has the same potential as other teams where we also have the confidence to compete in the 2023 SEA Games at Cambodia.”
“Our focus and vision will not change. It is certain that we will prepare to face this difficult group and my job now is to ensure that this team is ready,”
Men’s Football in the SEA Games 2023 will be held during 29 April – 16 May 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
