Peter Cklamovski, Head coach of Malaysia national team has hailed Dion Cools as a crucial asset ahead of Malaysia’s in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers round 3 Group F against Nepal at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri this Tuesday.
Cklamovski emphasized Cools’ versatility as a major advantage in shaping the team’s tactical approach, given the Buriram United star’s ability to excel in multiple positions.
Cools, who has often played as a central defender for Malaysia, has been a standout performer in the right-wing role for Buriram United in the Thai League, sparking debate among fans regarding his best position.

“He’s a very versatile and good player. He can play in many positions, and that gives me the flexibility to take full advantage of his strengths,” Cklamovski told Astro Arena journalist Zulhelmi Zainal Azam.
“We’re lucky to have Dion Cools, as well as a few other key players. It’s going to be exciting to see him play.”
