Buriram United introduced Dion Cools, defender Malaysia national team to join the team in second leg of 2022/23 season.
Cools, move to Buriram United to be a player in the ASEAN quota of the team after Diego Bardanca, a Filipino defender, left the team to join Chonburi FC.
Cools began his professional career with Belgian League club OH Leuven. After only one season, he managed to attract the interest of the giant club there, Club Brugge.
After five seasons, he who was born in Kuching, Sarawak was tied to FC Midtjylland (Denmark) where he played there for two and a half seasons and was loaned back to Belgium to join Zulte Waregem.
At the end of his contract with FK Jablonec, Dion Cools seems to want to experience football competition in ASEAN and perhaps because of the proximity to Malaysia, he was one of the factors in his decision to choose Buriram United.
