Women’s Single
World No.1, Japan Akane YAMAGUCHI [1], advanced into Round 16, defeating the hosting nation’s Women’s Single, Line Højmark KJAERSFELDT. Meanwhile, Thailand’s Pornpawee CHOCHUWONG [7] earns a walkover in Round 32.
Another Thailand Women’s Single star shuttler, Ratchanok INTANON [5], defeated Scotland’s Kirsty GILMOUR and will face China’s ZHANG Yi Man in Round 16.
Chinese Taipei Women’s Single, TAI Tzu Ying [2] advanced into Round 16 by defeating Thailand’s Busanan ONGBAMRUNGPHAN and face Japan’s Aya OHORI in Round 16.
Men’s Double
Malaysia Men’s Double, ONG Yew Sin/TEO Ee Yi, defeated the Japan Open 2022 champion, China’s LIANG Wei Keng/WANG Chang, in Round 32. ONG/TEO will face China’s double again, LIU Yu Chen/OU Xuan Yi, in Round 16.
“The Daddy”, Mohammad AHSAN/Hendra SETIAWAN [3], advanced into Round 16. They will face Chinese Taipei’s LU Ching Yao/YANG Po Han in Round 16.
The BWF World Champion, Aaron CHIA/SOH Wooi Yik from Malaysia, defeated Germany’s MARK LAMSFUSS/Marvin SEIDEL. The winner will face France’s Lucas CORVEE/Ronan LABAR in Round 16.
Women’s Double
Pearly TAN/THINAAH Muralitharan wins Thailand’s Supissara PAEWSAMPRAN/Puttita SUPAJIRAKUL. TAN/THINAAH will face World Ranking No.1 CHEN Qing Chen/JIA Yi Fan from China.
Another Malaysia pair, Vivian HOO/LIM Chiew Sien, lost to Japan’s Rin IWANAGA/Kie NAKANISHI in a two-set match, where the score was 19-21 and 17-21.
Korea’s BAEK Ha Na/LEE So Hee also advanced into Round 16, with whom they will face Japan’s Rin IWANAGA and Kie NAKANISHI in Round 16.
Mixed’s Double
The Japan Open 2022 Champion, Dechapol PUAVARANUKROH/Sapsiree TAERATTANACHAI [1], advanced into Round 16, where both of them will face China’s FENG Yan Zhe/HUANG Dong Ping, where China’s defeated Malaysia’s Mixed Double CHAN Peng Soon/CHEAH Yee See.
Another Thailand pair, Supak JOMKOH/Supissara PAEWSAMPRAN, advanced into Round 16 by defeating England’s Callum HEMMING/Jessica PUGH. JOMKOH/PAEWSAMPRAN faces Scotland’s Adam HALL/Julie MACPHERSON in Round 16.
Malaysia’s pair, GOH Soon Huat/LAI Shevon Jemie faces same country’s mixed double, TAN Kian Meng/LAI Pei Jing in the Round 16 of Denmark Open 2022.
Japan Mixed Double, Yuta WATANABE/Arisa HIGASHINO [2], faces India ISHAAN BHATNAGAR/Tanisha CRASTO in Round 16.
