Australia national team passed to the quarter-final after beating the Indonesia national team, scoring 4-0 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Round of 16 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
In the beginning game, Indonesia attacked the Australian side and had a chance to goal.
But in the 12th minute, following a fast-break of Australia and Jackson Irvine’s shot, and Elkan Baggott blocked the ball into their own goal, Australia led 1-0.
In the late game of the first half, in the 45th minute, following the attack of Australia and Gethin Jones crossing to Martin Boyle’s header to the goal. Australia led 2-0.
In the remaining time of the first half, there was no additional score, ending the first half with Australia leading 2-0.
In the second half, Australia still played an attack against Indonesia, but the defence of Indonesia was still secured.
And in the late game, in the 88th minute, Craig Goodwin shot in the box into the goal, Australia led 3-0.
In the stoppage time, in the 90+1 minute, following a free-kick of Australia and Craig Goodwin crossing to Harry Souttar’s header from very close range, Australia led 4-0.
The remaining time had no additional score, ending Australia winning 4-0 and entering the Quarter-Final.
In the Quarter-Final, Australia will face the match winner between Saudi Arabia and Korea Republic.
