Aidil Sharin Vows to Exploit Home Advantage Against Tampines Rovers After Back-to-Back Away Setbacks, Calls on Fans to Fill Taha Ariffin Stadium

Kuching City FC are determined not to leave empty-handed on home soil as they open their Shopee Cup 2026/27 campaign against Singapore's Tampines Rovers FC at Taha Ariffin Stadium tomorrow night.

Head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak has emphasized that The Cats must make the most of home advantage at their cherished stadium, following two disappointing results in their previous away assignments.

According to Aidil, playing on home turf presents a valuable opportunity for his side to bounce back and rebuild confidence, particularly with the backing of a passionate home crowd behind them.

"If you look at our two previous matches, the ACL Two and the league, we didn't perform well, but both of those were away from home," he explained at a press conference held today. "This time we're playing at home, and we definitely want to change that by securing a positive result."

Despite his confidence in home advantage, Aidil was careful to remind his players not to underestimate Tampines Rovers, describing the Singaporean outfit as a quality side with considerable experience on the international stage.

"We cannot look down on our opponents, but we need to play according to our game plan. We need to be strong, more aggressive and dominant," he said. "Regardless of where our opponents come from, the most important thing is that we have full support behind us." He said.
