Javier Jordar Ribera, head coach of Malaysia U16 national team, admitted that his men need to forget the defeat immediately and focus on the final action against Thailand in ASEAN U16 Boys Championship 2024 Group Stage, Group C tomorrow.
“The line-up of players can show more intense action when they meet Thailand. I believe there is still room to improve and take risks in order to achieve positive results.
“Regarding the match against Australia, I think this is a very difficult action but we played well in addition to creating several chances but failed to hit the net,” he said.
However, FAM President, Datuk Hamidin Mohd. Amin expressed his desire to see the Malaysia U16 national team advance to the finals. But previously did not set any specific targets because it wanted to make the tournament a preparation ground before AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers next October.
