Singapore national team losing to FC Tokyo, a club in J.League scoring 0-4 in the International Friendly Match Tier 2 at FC Tokyo Kodaira Training Ground, Tokyo.
Everton Gaundino opened the scoring for FC Tokyo in the 19th minute, setting the tone for the match.
Singapore’s defense was breached again in the 34th minute, with left winger Keita Endo doubling the score for the hosts. The Lions entered the halftime break trailing 0-2.
Singapore tried to respond in the second half, launching several attacks in an attempt to reduce the deficit, but their efforts were in vain.
FC Tokyo remained dominant, adding two more goals to seal a comfortable 4-0 victory.
This defeat leaves Ogura still searching for his second win as Singapore’s head coach. His only victory so far was a 3-0 triumph over BG Tampines Rovers, a Singapore Premier League (SPL) club, in September. The Lions will now look to regroup as they prepare for their next friendly against Tokyo Verdy on October 11.
