Royal Johor maintained their winning momentum with another hard-fought victory in their second match of the 2026 Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament (JSCPT), led by HRH Tunku Ismail, Regent of Johor.
In a thrilling fixture held at the Royal Polo Field in Istana Pasir Pelangi today (2 September), Royal Johor edged out Korea Polo 8–7 in a fiercely contested match.
HRH Tunku Ismail personally contributed to the scoreboard, striking a vital goal in the fourth chukka to help secure the team’s triumph.
The match was graced by the presence of HH Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor, HRH Tunku Iskandar Ibni Tunku Ismail (Raja Muda of Johor), and the royal children.
Also in attendance were HH Tunku Tun Aminah Binti Sultan Ibrahim with her husband Dato’ Dennis Muhammad Abdullah, HH Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim (Tunku Panglima of Johor), and HH Tunku Abu Bakar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim (Tunku Putera of Johor).
Classified as an elite 22-goal handicap competition, the tournament makes history as the largest and most prestigious polo event ever staged in Malaysia.
The event is driven by the shared vision of HRH Tunku Ismail and global polo icon Pablo “Polito” Pieres, aiming to solidify Johor’s standing as a premier destination in the luxury sports arena.
Five elite teams—Royal Johor, Temasek, JCorp, Korea Polo, and Digital Bridge—are battling for top honors with high-caliber international rosters, including several multi-time Argentine Open champions.
Marquee figures taking to the field include HRH Tunku Ismail and Pablo “Polito” Pieres representing Royal Johor, alongside Ignatius “Nachi” Du Plessis suited up for Temasek.
