Rakphon Sainet-ngam, head coach of the Malaysia national futsal team, is glad that the Football Association of Thailand is invited to participate in the NSDF FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP THAILAND 2024 tournament.
In addition, he also thanked the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for postponing the Malaysia Premier Futsal League Division 1 2024 on matchday 5 and for having time to prepare the team after they had not competed for more than 5 months.
“I’m glad after FA Thailand and Adisak Benjasiriwa, Vice President of the Football Association of Thailand, were invited to play in this tournament. And hope Malaysia will help Thailand fully prepare before competing in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2024. And Malaysia also got to meet the top teams in Asia.” Rakphol said.
“As for team preparation, There will be a practice call on Tuesday. After yesterday, the league competition kicked off the match in week 4. There will be only 2 days of practice, and then travel will take place on March 22.”
“Normally, the MPFL would continue playing one more match, but the match was postponed to allow the Malaysia Futsal national team to join the tournament in Thailand. It is considered a matter of pleasure for the Football Association of Malaysia(FAM).”
“I saw the importance of this item. Because Malaysia hasn’t competed in 5 months, our style is similar to Vietnam. It’s like we’re simulating a game for Thailand. And develop Malaysian players as well.”
NSDF FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP THAILAND 2024 will compete 24-28 March 2024 at the Gymnasium of Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, Nonthaburi, Thailand. There will be 4 nations participating in the competition: Thailand, Malaysia, Afghanistan, and Australia.
