Malaysian Football League (MFL) has confirmed venue changes for three early rounds of Piala FA Malaysia 2025/26 fixtures involving Johor Darul Ta’zim, Selangor, and Sabah ahead of the competition’s kickoff this weekend.
The Piala FA 2025/26 will commence with Malaysian football giants JDT, Selangor, and Sabah facing off against clubs from the A1 Semi-Pro League in the first-leg ties.
Fresh off their Piala Sumbangsih triumph, JDT were drawn against UM-Damansara United, while Selangor will face Malaysian University in their opening matches. Previously, JDT were scheduled to travel to UM-Damansara United for the first leg before hosting the return fixture, and Selangor were set to play Malaysian University at the USIM Stadium in Nilai before returning to Kelana Jaya.
However, MFL announced on Tuesday that both JDT and Selangor will now host the first-leg matches at their own stadiums. The change was requested by UM-Damansara United and Malaysian University, whose original venues did not meet MFL’s competition standards.
Meanwhile, Sabah, drawn against Bunga Raya FC, will travel to the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi for the first leg of their early-round clash.
