Perak Football Association (PAFA) has responded to the recent Industrial Court ruling in the case involving former Perak FC head coach Lim Teong Kim, stating its respect for the legal process and reaffirming its commitment to financial discipline and team rebuilding.
In an official statement, PAFA President Dato’ Haji Azhar Jamaluddin emphasised that the decision serves as an important lesson not only for PAFA but for all football associations and clubs across Malaysia.
“Financial management and operational budgets must never be taken lightly. Spending must be prudent, controlled, and carried out with integrity to ensure the sustainability and stability of the team,” said Azhar.
PAFA also expressed hope that Perak FC, through its holding company XOX, can resolve the matter swiftly and wisely, especially in relation to claims by former Perak FC players, so that all parties can receive fair treatment.
While acknowledging the past, PAFA stressed that its main priority now is to rebuild the Perak FA squad. The aim is to nurture local talent, restore pride, and deliver joy to loyal Perak supporters nationwide.
