Malaysian mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei advanced to the quarter-finals as Group D winners after a thrilling victory over the Chinese duo Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping in the mixed doubles event at the 2024 Olympics held at Porte de La Chapelle Arena, Paris.
The Malaysian pair faced a challenging start, losing the first set 17-21. However, they made a remarkable comeback by winning the next two sets 21-15 and 21-16 in a gripping 70-minute match.
With this victory, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei secured their position as the top seed in Group D (D1) and will now await the draw to determine their opponent from the runner-up group pair in the quarter-finals.
