Malaysia national team has announced 25 players in the squad for Pestabola Merdeka 2023 (International Friendly ‘A’ Matches) from 13 – 17 October 2023 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
Based on the list, Pan Gon has retained a total of 21 from 25 players who were called up in the previous centralized training camp for the International ‘A’ Matches against Syria and China in Chengdu, China, on 6-9 September 2023.
The remaining four players consist of three players from the Malaysia U23 national team squad who played in the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers in Chonburi, Thailand, in September 2023, namely Azam Azmi Murad, Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi and Nooa Laine as well as one new player, goalkeeper Suhaimi Husin.

Malaysia national team will play their first match of the Pestabola Merdeka 2023 against India on 13 October 2023. and They will then face either Palestine or Tajikistan (final match or third placing) on 17 October 2023.
