Penang FC comeback to good performance after beating Perak FCscoring 2-0 in the LIga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium Perak, Ipoh.
Penang opened the scoring with a free kick converted by Neto Oliveira in injury time of the first half.
Perak FC worked tirelessly to find an equalizer and had several opportunities, especially towards the end of the match, but failed to score.
Penang substitute Alif Ikmalrizal Anuar secured the victory for the Harimau Kumbang by scoring the second goal in injury time.
This result marked Penang’s first victory in the 2024/25 Super League, following three draws and one loss in their previous four matches. The three points earned at the opponent’s ground allowed Penang to climb to seventh place in the league, sharing six points with Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) and Kuching City, who occupy the fifth and sixth positions respectively.
Perak, on the other hand, remained in 11th place, having collected three points from one win and four losses in five games under the management of Yusri Che Lah.
