PDRM FC back to earned 3 points in their home after beating Negeri Sembilan FC scoring 2-1 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium MPS, Selayang.
Negeri Sembilan wasted no time in making their mark, as Hein Htet Aung struck in the seventh minute to give the visitors an early advantage. The goal set the tempo for a fierce battle, with PDRM FC struggling to find a breakthrough.
Their task became even more challenging in the 67th minute when Mohd Badrul Affendy Mohd Fadzli was sent off following a VAR review for a foul on Mohamad Ikhwan Yazek, leaving PDRM FC with a numerical disadvantage.
However, just three minutes later, PDRM FC found their lifeline. Awarded a penalty in the 70th minute, Suzuki stepped up and calmly slotted the ball past Muhamad Aqil Abd Razak to level the score at 1-1, reigniting the home side’s hopes.
PDRM FC had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 79th minute, but Ifedayo Olusegun squandered the chance, miscuing his shot right in front of goal, allowing Negeri Sembilan’s defense to clear the danger.
The defining moment came in the 83rd minute when Negeri Sembilan’s Mohamad Hariz Kamarudin brought down Shahrel Fikri Md Fauzi inside the box. The referee pointed to the spot once again, and Suzuki made no mistake, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to secure all three points for the home side.
Despite playing with 10 men, PDRM FC’s determination and composure saw them claim a crucial win, much to the delight of their supporters. Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan will be left to reflect on missed opportunities as they failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage.
