Kim Pan-Gon, head coach of Malaysia national team admitted that he was still disappointed with some aspects of the two international friendlies matches and hopes to have a good and competitive league to raise the level of the team in the future.
“We need to improve in terms of strategy and tactics, but physically I can’t improve because it is related to the standard of the league, if we have a good and competitive league we can automatically raise the level.” Pan-Gon said in Post-match press conference.
“You can see that there are players who don’t have enough ‘game fitness’, so from now on I want to see all these players play more in the league, compete better so that when they come to the national camp after this they will be fitter,”
Meanwhile, he remains happy that the team managed to maintain the winning momentum in these two matches, and ensure that the home record is still good.
“I’m happy we won again playing at ‘home’, as I remember we’ve played 14 games in Malaysia since last March, and only lost one game to Bahrain.”
“This shows that Malaysia is our fortress, whoever comes here we will give them difficulties.”
