Kim Pan-gon, head coach of Malaysia national team believes the team has ready for play in match against Jordan in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Group Stage, Group E tomorrow.
Malaysia has a long time preparation after qualifying for this tournament in June 2022, using several tournaments like the AFF Cup 2022 and Merdeka Cup 2023, and friendly matches to test the tactical and find the best players.
However, Malaysia never won Jordan in the record 3 matches meetings, and in the last match, Jordan won 4-0 in the friendly match in October 2021 at Amman.
“Very exciting for this tournament. Our teams are fully ready for tomorrow’s game against the Jordan tournament.” Pan-gon said in Pre-match press conference today.
“People know Malaysia is a beautiful country and nice and kind people live there. Still, we can also introduce Malaysia as strong from the dynamic and energetic football we introduce, so we are fully ready for tomorrow’s game.”

In addition, Matthew Davies, team captain’s of Malaysia national team from Johor Darul Ta’Zim hope to did follow the target of the coach is qualify to round of 16.
“In terms of our aspirations for the tournament, I think I’ll just read what the coach said here, which is that go to qualify to the round of 16, which means finishing second or third in the group, as you mentioned, yes it’s been a long time since we qualified with the first team in 40 or so years to qualify on me for the Asian cup for Malaysia so we’re very proud of that And we wanted to be here.” Matt said.

AFC Asian Cup 2023, Group Stage, Group E between Malaysia and Jordan will play on 15 January 2024, at 1.30 am.(+1) (Malaysian time) at Al Janoub Stadium.
