PDRM FC team manager Eddy Gapil expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to continue their positive run but cautioned that the match against Sabah would be far from easy.
After returning to winning form with a solid victory over Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC), PDRM FC are determined to build on their momentum as they prepare to take on Sabah FC in their upcoming Super League clash at Likas Stadium this Tuesday.
“We know Sabah is not a weak team and certainly not easy to beat, especially with the home advantage on their side. I hope our players can capitalize on every opportunity to score and bring home three crucial points,” said Eddy when contacted earlier today.
Eddy shared his relief that team preparations have been smooth, especially after the Aidilfitri celebrations. PDRM resumed full training last Wednesday and are now in a strong position heading into the crucial fixture.
“The team’s preparation looks promising, and our attacking force is currently in top form. With players like Ifedayo Olusegun, Shahrel Fikri Md Fauzi, Bruno Susuki, and Muhammad Hadi Fayyadh (Abdul Razak), we are confident in our attacking options,” Eddy added.
He emphasized that the depth and sharpness of the squad’s attacking machinery would be key in their efforts to overcome a well-rounded Sabah FC side.
While acknowledging the challenge of playing away at the formidable Likas Stadium, Eddy remained optimistic.
“This development is positive for the team, and we are targeting a victory even though we’re playing on Sabah’s turf. I hope every player selected will perform their role with full commitment and deliver excellence on the pitch,” he concluded.
The upcoming clash promises to be a thrilling encounter, with PDRM FC looking to climb the Super League standings and Sabah FC eager to protect their home ground. All eyes will be on Likas Stadium this Tuesday as both sides battle for three vital points.
