Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani made the country’s number one men’s team, Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, bite their fingers when they beat them to advance to the final of the Badminton Asia Championships 2024 in Ningbo, China, recently.
In the semi-final clash between the two Malaysian representatives, Izzuddin-Sze Fei performed a commendable performance to score a 21-14, 21-18 victory over Aaron-Wooi Yik in 40 minutes.
For the record, this is Izzuddin-Sze Fei’s second win over Aaron-Wooi Yik in eight meetings.
The pair ranked 19th in the world will face the winner of the match between the Chinese pair, Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang and the Taiwanese team, Lee Jhe Huei-Yang Po Hsuan for the title tomorrow.
