Kuching City made a flying start to their Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 campaign with a dominant 4-0 victory over Kelantan The Real Warriors at the Stadium Negeri, Kuching.
The emphatic win gives Aidil Sharin Sahak’s men their first three points of the season and temporarily puts them at the top of the league standings.
The match began with an early scare for KCFC as TRW’s Ifedayo Olusegun struck the crossbar from a free kick in just the second minute. The rebound fell to Alexandre Primael Yeoule, but his header flew over the bar.
KCFC quickly regrouped and found the opener in the 5th minute when Ronald Ngah Wanja calmly slotted home to make it 1-0. The lead doubled in the 18th minute when Joao Pedro produced a delightful chip over Muhammad Azfar Arif Mohd Sukri, leaving the TRW goalkeeper stranded.
TRW nearly pulled one back in the 42nd minute, but Ifedayo’s header was heroically cleared off the line by Daniel Amier Norhisham, preserving KCFC’s two-goal advantage into the break.
In the second half, Ngah Wanja struck again in the 71st minute, beating substitute goalkeeper Damyanov Damyan Valeriy for his brace and KCFC’s third goal. The rout was completed in the dying minutes when Ramadhan Saifullah added a fourth, sealing a perfect opening night for the home side.
KCFC will now enjoy a short break before their next fixture, while TRW must regroup quickly ahead of their home clash against newcomers Imigresen FC on Tuesday.
