Johor Darul Ta’Zim still secured record ‘consecutive’ wins 8th match this season after beating Terengganu FA scoring 7-1 in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League Division 1 2024 at Stadium Negeri, Kuala Terengganu.
The spotlight was on JDT’s new import player, Bruno Taffy, who began the match on the bench, while Terengganu placed their hopes on Zuhairi Mohamad in goal.
JDT dominated from the start, with Awalluddin Mat Nawi scoring the opening goal in the 3rd minute. Firdaus Ambiah extended the lead six minutes later. Terengganu managed to close the gap with a goal from Alif Mat Amin just before halftime, ending the first half at 2-1 in favor of JDT.
In the second half, JDT continued their onslaught with Bruno Taffy scoring the third goal with a powerful left-footed shot. Awalluddin Mat Nawi then secured his second goal of the match, making it 4-1. Danial Dain added a fifth goal in the 28th minute, followed by a long-range strike from Azwan Ismail to push the score to 6-1.
Before the match concluded, Awalluddin completed his hat-trick, sealing a decisive 7-1 victory for JDT. This triumph solidified JDT’s position at the top of the league table with 24 points from eight games, while Terengganu remained in seventh place with three points.
