Malaysian Football League (MFL) confirmed that their Club Licensing Unit has received documents regarding the payment of salary arrears for Kelantan FC players and officials, yesterday.
However, the governing body of the Malaysian League (M League) clarified that all documents regarding payments involving 30 players and officials of The Red Warriors (TRW) squad are now in the process of being reviewed by an independent body, the First Instance Body (FIB).
“The FIB must confirm payment with all parties involved, including referring the matter to the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM).” MFL said.
“That matter needs to be done before making an announcement in the near future regarding the status of Kelantan FC’s national license application for the 2024-2025 Super League competition,”
Suppose the first step of the issue is successfully resolved. In that case, TRW will then have to resolve the second issue involving the case at the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), with a period given until 31 December.
