E. Elavarasan, head coach Malaysia U23 national team explained that his squad will try their best to achieve the target at the AFF U23 Championship 2023 which will take place in Rayong, Thailand.
“In any tournament, the target is that we have to go to the highest level, and every team also needs that goal to ensure the players reach their target.” E. Elavarasan, said.
“So with seven new players this time, it’s a good challenge because we didn’t get to the stage we should have reached in the previous SEA Games. However, with past experience, we will try our best,”
“If there is a long term, it is definitely good for the team. But with such a crowded league, we have to understand and we have to thank the club for releasing players.”
“Before this, we also made camps so that the players could be informed of what we would do, but with these seven new players, we have to make less effort so they understand more quickly,”
Elavarasan lists seven new faces in the 25-man squad called up for central training camp, with 13 players not involved with the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 fixtures having reported on day one overnight and a full squad expected to be assembled tomorrow.
