Zaw Min Tun, the captain of the Myanmar national team of Chonburi FC, announced via personal Facebook. Asking to retire from the national team at the age of 30 to allow new players to replace them
“I was officially invited to join the national team. As part of the upcoming AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup competition.” Zaw Min Tun, said.
“I have played more than 70 games for my national team since 2011 as a Myanmar national team player.”
“Achievements include winning the Philippines Peace Cup and the SEA Games bronze medal. Due to my age, there is a limit to full focus on the national team and the club. They also wish to pass the area on to the new generation of players. So I decided to quit playing for the Myanmar national team.”
“I hope everyone involved will respect my decision.”
