FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group B Matchday 5 between DPR Korea and Syria will be played at Vientiane, Laos PDR on 6 June 2024.
DPR Korea couldn’t play at home after DPR Korea refused to host the match in a match against Japan due to a malignant, infectious disease spreading in Japan; before cancelling the match, DPR Korea forfeited 0-3.
Afterwards, the Asian Football Confederation(AFC) ordered them not to play in Pyongyang for solved the problem.
However, AFC have ordered this match moved to play at Laos National Stadium KM 16, Vientiane Laos PDR on 6 June 2024(time: TBC)
Syria is still in 2nd place in Group B with 7 points after 4 matches played, and DPR Korea is in 3rd place with 3 points after 4 matches played.
