HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, owner of Johor Darul Ta’Zim said in a meeting with the Exco of the Sports Writers Association of Malaysia (SAM) yesterday about Safawi Rasid, forward of Ratchaburi FC among is rumored to be not comfortable playing in Thailand.
Safawi, move to Ratchaburi FC on a loan contract from Johor Darul Ta’Zim in December 2022, during which he played 11 matches and 1 goal.
” I have been in contact with him (Safawi) and I think he is not very comfortable there (Ratchaburi). We will see what happens because he wants to go on loan. I am not the one who sent him, he wants to go and we are just cooperating with him.”
“For now, there is no final word yet on whether he wants to return or not, but we know he is not comfortable there and is the one who said if possible he wants to return here,”
“We’ll see first, I don’t have a final word either. I haven’t made a decision and I haven’t been able to contact him directly,”
However, Tunku Ismail informed us that JDT has not been in official contact with Safawi regarding whether or not he wants to return to the Malaysian League.
