ASEAN Football Federation(AFF) selected Thailand as the host of ASEAN Futsal Championship 2024 from 2-10 November 2024 at Terminal21 Shopping Mall Korat, Nakhonratchasima.
This marks the ninth time Thailand will host the tournament, which has been held 17 times in total.
Thailand’s futsal team has dominated the competition, winning the championship 16 times. The only instance in which Thailand did not claim the title was when they did not participate.
The 2024 edition of the tournament will feature nine teams: Thailand (host), Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia, Brunei, and Timor-Leste.
The draw for the tournament will take place on September 27, 2024, at the Sima Thani Hotel, Nakhonratchasima, at 3:00 p.m. (local time). Teams will be divided into four pots based on previous tournament performances:
• Pot 1: Thailand (defending champion), Indonesia (runner-up)
• Pot 2: Vietnam, Myanmar
• Pot 3: Malaysia, Australia
• Pot 4: Cambodia, Brunei, Timor-Leste
