Malaysian professional men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia maintained his fine form to secure a spot in the Arctic Open semi-finals after dispatching France's second seed Christo Popov in straight sets earlier today.

Showing no lingering signs of past injury struggles, Zii Jia hit the court with tremendous momentum to catch Popov off guard in the opening set. While the French second seed attempted a comeback in the second game, the Malaysian stayed composed, shutting down his opponent's rallies to seal a dominant 21-11, 21-16 victory in just 38 minutes.

The result marks Zii Jia’s third consecutive head-to-head win over Popov, continuing his mastery over the French star.

Reaching the last four mirrors his run at the Canada Open last July, providing a timely motivation boost as the Malaysian works toward regaining his trademark form.

Zii Jia will now set his sights on tomorrow's semi-final clash against the winner of the match between Denmark's Anders Antonsen and China's Hu Zhe An, keeping his hunt alive for a first tournament final appearance of the year.
