Syamer Kutty Abba, midfielder of the Malaysia national team from Johor Darul Ta’Zim, said he will play every game like a final match against Korea Republic in the last action of AFC Asian Cup 2023 Group Stage, Group E on Thursday.
Malaysia confirmed eliminated without a point following 2 matches and losing to Bahrain 0-1 in the second match last Saturday due to loss on Head-to-Head results with opponents like Jordan and Bahrain.
“Although people see (the action against South Korea) as just a complement to the schedule, on the field, we will run and fight.” Syamer said with Berita Harian.
“Personally, I will try every match like it’s my last match. So, I will give my best because I know this is the honor I carry, which is the honor of the country.”
“Perhaps a complement to the schedule, but it is a match for us to do our best to face Korea Republic later,”
In addition, Syamer strongly desires to be in the national squad if Malaysia qualifies again for the final round of the Asian Cup in the future.
“I think the Asian Cup this time is where we do the best analysis for us to learn. It’s for sure, as long as I’m given the chance, I really want to play and I hope I’ll be there for the next Asian Cup,”
