Rebin Sulaka, Buriram United’s defender announced for retired from Iraq national team with age, 29 for private reasons.
“Wearing the Iraqi shirt has been a huge honour for me and it pains me to have to announce my retirement from international football. Every time I wear the Iraq shirt, I try to give my best for the team and the fans in order to make them proud. The Iraqi fans are amazing and I want to thank them for all the love and support they have shown me throughout the years. I would also like to thank the coaches, management, my teammates and the FA for all their support. I’ve anyone feels that I fell short during the last 7 years with the national team, I am sorry for that but I tried my best. I will be fully behind the team going forward but as a fan. Thank you once again and i love you” Sulaka said on Instagram
Sulaka, debut with Iraq national team first time in 2015, he has played 26 matches for the national team, his most recent appearance for the team was a defeat Qatar 3-0 in the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 on 6 December 2021.
