Thai badminton star Ratchanok Inthanon has expressed her disappointment after being left out of the Indonesia Open 2025, one of her most beloved tournaments on the BWF World Tour.
In an emotional message shared on Facebook, the former world champion addressed her fans, especially those in Indonesia, who have long admired her graceful playing style and fierce determination on court.
“To badminton fans in Indonesia, this year we won’t get to meet,” wrote Ratchanok.
“I feel sorry that I won’t be able to play at Istora. Right now, my body doesn’t have any injuries that bother me like you guys thought. I’m healthy and fit enough to continue my fourth tour, but…”
Though she stopped short of revealing the exact reason behind her absence, Ratchanok’s words hinted at a non-injury-related decision, possibly linked to tournament selections or team strategies.
She closed her post with gratitude to her loyal supporters:
“Thank you for always supporting me every time.”
Ratchanok’s absence will be deeply felt by Indonesian fans, particularly at Istora Senayan – the iconic venue known for its electric atmosphere and passionate crowd. Her graceful presence and elite shot-making have earned her a special place in the hearts of badminton followers across Southeast Asia.
