Stadium Corporation of Malaysia (PSM) has announced the preparation of the Bukit Jalil National Stadium field for Ed Sheeran’s concert on February 24 and the FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers match against Oman on 26 March 2024.
“The Stadium Corporation of Malaysia (PSM) has involved Labosport in preparing the Bukit Jalil National Stadium field for Ed Sheeran’s concert to be held on February 24 and Malaysia’s World Cup Qualifying match against Oman on March 26.” PSM said.
“As an initial step, PSM has moved 1900m2 of grass to accommodate the stage and audio system tower in accordance with Ed Sheeran’s “world tour” theme. The transplanted grass is now given intensive care including irrigation and fertilizing so that the health of the grass is at an optimal level.”
“In addition, PSM is ready to use grass from the nursery if necessary.”
“The existing nursery has a grass area of over 2000m2 to cover the needs of the SNBJ field.”
“Work on dismantling the equipment from the concert will begin immediately after the concert ends, and work on the field will begin immediately after.”
