Johor Darul Ta’Zim passes to the semi-final easily after beating Malaysian University FT scoring 8-0 in the Piala FA Malaysia 2024/25 quarter-final second leg at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri.
Hector Bidoglio, Head Coach of JDT, fielded his strongest eleven, aiming for a decisive victory at home. The goal spree began with Juan Muniz netting the opener in the 21st minute. Heberty Fernandes then doubled the lead with a penalty in the 30th minute.
The floodgates remained open as JDT added two more goals in quick succession, in the 30th and 35th minutes, through chaotic scenes in the opponent’s penalty box.
Malaysian University FT attempted to regroup and push for a goal in the second half but found their efforts thwarted. Francisco Geraldes extended JDT’s lead with a rapid strike past Syed Irfan in the 60th minute.
Romel Morales capitalized on two easy opportunities in front of goal, and substitute Bergson Da Silva further cemented JDT’s dominance with his first personal goal of the match.
The match concluded with JDT scoring one final goal in the 2 minutes of extra time, sealing an 8-0 victory and a staggering 13-0 aggregate win.
