PDRM FC head coach Eddy Gapil has refused to be drawn into speculation surrounding alleged salary arrears within the club, an issue that has sparked rumors and raised questions about The Cops’ recent form.
Talk of unpaid wages has circulated in local football circles over the past few weeks, with some observers suggesting it has negatively impacted PDRM’s performance on the field. Before their FA Cup Round of 16 second-leg clash against Negeri Sembilan FC, PDRM had endured a poor run of results, failing to win in five straight Malaysia League fixtures, including a 5-0 hammering by Negeri Sembilan in the FA Cup first leg and a 3-1 defeat to KL City FC.
When asked to address the salary issue, Eddy made it clear that it was not his place to respond.
“I don’t think I am the right person to answer that question. It’s better for PDRM’s management to respond to such matters,” he told Astro Arena’s Fadhirul Shuhaimi.

On the pitch, however, PDRM finally tasted victory for the first time in the 2025/26 season, edging Negeri Sembilan 1-0 in the second leg at Selayang. The result, however, was not enough to overturn the deficit, with Negeri Sembilan advancing 5-1 on aggregate to the quarter-finals.
For PDRM, the focus now shifts to the Malaysia Super League as they prepare to take on Kelantan The Real Warrior FC (KTRW FC) on September 20.
