Datuk Ong Kim Swee, head coach of Sabah FC, provided a big relief after the success of securing a ticket to the semi-finals of the ASEAN zone of the AFC Cup 2023/24.
Thus, Kim Swee can now focus more on the remaining two Liga Super Malaysia matches against Perak this Sunday before the final action against Kedah Darul Aman on 17 December 2023.
“In the match against PSM Makassar, at least we can rotate the players, and it might give more freshness to the team to face Kedah in the last action of the Liga Super,” said Kim Swee.
“I think the players know what they have to do including adapting to the (rain) situation and we got the goals we wanted which is very important.
“Definitely our first target is to qualify for the next round and we are now moving to the semi-finals of the ASEAN zone. It is a good achievement,”
