Malaysia’s Muay Thai sensation Adam Rakib continues his meteoric rise on the global stage, delivering a spectacular knockout victory over Morocco’s Walid Snoussi at ONE Friday Fights 141 yesterday. Competing at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium, the Malaysian warrior proved why he is one of the most feared strikers in the Strawweight division.
From the opening bell, Adam set a blistering pace, utilizing aggressive forward pressure and clinical combinations that left Snoussi struggling to find his range. The Moroccan tried to weather the storm, but Adam’s relentless output and agility kept him on the back foot throughout the first frame.
The end came swiftly in the second round. Adam found the opening he was looking for, launching a devastating strike that sent Snoussi crashing to the canvas. The referee had seen enough, waving off the contest and awarding Adam the Knockout (KO) victory, much to the delight of the traveling Malaysian fans in the stands.
This victory improves Adam’s professional record to three wins in four appearances at the prestigious ONE Championship stage. While he previously split results with France’s Nahyan Mohammed, this dominant performance reaffirms his championship potential.
Adam’s reputation as a “giant killer” began during his debut, where he shocked the combat sports world by defeating Japan’s two-time K1 Kickboxing World Champion, Toma Kuroda. With yesterday’s clinical finish, Adam has signaled to the Strawweight division that he is coming for the gold.
