Global martial arts promotion ONE Championship has announced that it is preparing to take legal action against former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, citing multiple alleged violations of contractual obligations.
The organization confirmed the development through its official ONE Championship Thailand platform, stating that legal proceedings have already been initiated in Singapore, Japan, and Thailand.
In its official statement, ONE emphasized its commitment to transparency with fans, athletes, and partners, explaining that the move was necessary after repeated breaches of contractual agreements.
According to the promotion, the legal action is based on several alleged failures by Rodtang to fulfill his contractual commitments, as well as concerns involving statements or information that may have led to misunderstandings or could be interpreted as defamatory.
ONE further stressed that it maintains strict policies regarding contractual integrity, noting that it had previously attempted to resolve matters with the Thai star in good faith.
After repeated instances in which the obligations were allegedly ignored, the organization decided to take decisive legal action to protect the interests of stakeholders within the ONE ecosystem.
The promotion added that investigations and legal reviews are currently underway, and it will continue to coordinate with relevant authorities in the three countries as the legal process unfolds.
Although ONE declined to provide additional details about the case while it remains under review.
Prior to the announcement, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, widely known as one of the most exciting fighters in Muay Thai history, had revealed on social media that he planned to visit Thailand’s Crime Suppression Division in Bangkok on April 14 and address the media.
However, the scheduled meeting with reporters was later postponed. Rodtang stated that negotiations had been initiated, and he would invite the press again if discussions between both parties fail to reach a resolution.
Rodtang, who rose to global prominence under the ONE banner and built a reputation for his aggressive fighting style and resilience in the ring, now faces an uncertain chapter in his career as the legal dispute develops.
